Our skills
What this means is that we are experienced problem-solvers with an eye for the big picture. The majority of situations in which an organization feels the need to call in a consultant have something in common: The "problem" is conceptualized in terms of an incomplete picture of the system in which it is embedded. This is like trying to affect the net money supply of a nation by buying a latte every Tuesday. If you see the connection between the net money supply and buying a latte every Tuesday, then we don't need to explain why an organizations must be approached as an integrated system. Most "problems" have tentacles and therefore need to be addressed by looking at how the organization functions as a whole. This takes the focus off of individuals and special situations, and puts the emphasis on maximizing an organization's integration. Like driving a school bus. Most "problems" are like the Lernean Hydra. The Hydra has tentacles, but each time you cut one off, three more grow in its place. Hercules had the right idea when he realized that he needed an overall strategy. The moral of this story is that "problems" need to be addressed by looking at how the organization functions as a whole. This approach takes the focus off of individuals (and their tentacles), and puts the emphasis on maximizing an organization's integration. Hercules would have made a great school bus driver.
